Here's the alien set up in front of the saucer. The last shot shows its leg propped up on a mylar covered box and the hands are holding a rope light. The intended effect was that it was trying to repair the crashed saucer. Originally I wanted to illuminate the eyes but even though I didn't get around to finishing this detail, I was happy with the outcome. Unfortunately, somebody else liked what I put together so much that one night when I left the alien out late, they stole the entire head off the body. This was not a great monetary loss, and fortunately I had another mask, but after spending all the time I did, I was extremely annoyed that someone saw fit to ruin my efforts.
