With the help of my wife and a neighbor I was able to prop up the final saucer frame. It was exciting to see the final form take shape. Unfortunately, my lacking math skills came back to haunt me again in that I miscalculated the number of panels I needed for the final assembly and had to remove one from the frame while it was standing to prevent the frame from warping.

The often repeated comment was "It looks like a giant spider web!" which was true, so if the saucer concept fell through, the fall-back plan was to build a giant spider out of the leftover PVC.
